Frequently Asked Questions

Question : Does this website contain the entire Eckert Images collection?

Answer : No. We still have lots of images from all around the world yet to be uploaded. Do not hesitate to contact us to ask if we might have a subject you don't see on the site.

Question : So even if I don’t see the particular image for which I am searching, Eckert Images still might have it available for me?

Answer : Yes. All a photo buyer has to do is call, write or (preferably) e-mail us at Fred@EckertImages.com and tell us exactly what you are looking for. We’ll search our files for the image you describe and get back to you ASAP.

Question : How comprehensive a set of key-words does Eckert Images use?

Answer : We think we have key-worded our stock photography very well. Suppose you want to see our stock of koala images, but only the verticals? LOG IN, then type in the word “koala” (without quotation marks around it) immediately followed by a comma – and then type “vertical” (without quotation marks). For images of Kenya that include people, type: Kenya, people. Put another comma followed by the word horizontal and you’ll see our horizontal Kenya images with people. Or suppose you are searching for an image that is evocative of Spain. LOG IN, then type in the word Spain followed by a comma and then the word evocative. Voila! Our inventory of images that we find evocative of Spain is at your fingertips. Our key-words system is very logical, very intuitive.

Question : Which images do you sell as limited-edition prints, cards, etc.?

Answer : If there is an image in our inventory that you would like to order for a wall hanging, contact us (preferably by e-mail to Fred@EckertImages.com) and we’ll arrange for you to purchase any of our images in any reasonable size. Payment is by check in advance.

Question : Do you have a pricing rate chart?

Answer : No, all our image sales are negotiated for market value depending on usage and rights requested. We do follow generally accepted pricing guidelines.
